iPhone is Missing Link?

Tuesday was a big day for Apple fans around the world. Apple Computer, Inc.—err... Apple Inc. (nice name change) -- launched the iPhone today. After having a chance to see Steve Jobs Keynote speech–a master class in presentation–and reviewing various reportings on the device, I've concluded that it's cool.

In my estimation the iPhone is perhaps one of the most, if not the most, technically complicated consumer-grade devices ever to hit the market. And yet it appears so simple to use. That's the Apple touch.

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these devices as it will surely plug my final open loop in my Getting Things Done system. Besides, ever since the Motorola iTunes-enabled ROKR, I've been hoping Apple would jump into the cell phone space on their own terms.

It's also interesting to note the stock activity upon the announcement of the iPhone. This device is a game-changer. And I totally agree Steve Jobs when he said we'll never look at "smartphones" the same again.

About

MeI’m Jonathan Brown. I write software during the day, I bootstrap businesses at night and I’m a father on weekends. It’s not how I designed it, but that’s how it worked out.

Oddly enough, I hate reading and love writing. I can’t find time to do either. I only read non-fiction—typically business books and magazines.
